Paleo Diet

Quick question,
Should one limit one self's intake of the yellow of the eggs? So right now I just discard the yellows when I make boiled eggs in the morning. This is mainly due to my concern with cholesterol.
Would appreciate any insights,
Avi GDL.

It's recommended only 6 whole eggs a week. Personally I don't believe saturated fat is that bad for you and intake around 30 eggs a week and am not in the financial situation to throw away any part of them.

The only bad fat the way i see it is the trans fat since our body doesn't know how to handle it... it will change the structure of fat.

Give us another 10,000 years and I think we might find something to do with it who knows though

Also from what I have read recently a few sups I need to add and you should also...

ZMA > most of us are zinc and magnesium deficient which lowers testosterone and lowers the quality of our sleep
Fish oil > So many benefits just take it
Vitamin C > I just need more
Vitamin B Complex > Increase hunger so I gain some weight

Avi, your habit is a result of an ancient misconception about egg consumption and cholesterol levels. Quite simply, it is complete and utter bullshit. Egg white are for pussies. Eat the whole thing.

Ido.

Agreed, I eat 3 a day in a massive breakfast that makes my roommates laugh at me. . . but hey breakfast is the most important meal of the day (and I keep getting leaner even after I upped my consumption to try and gain!)!

Following the basic principles of the paleo plan may produce the following 10 symptoms so be warned....
1. A reduction of bodyfat
2. An increase of lean body mass
3. Increased performance
4. Better sexual health
5. Prolonged stares from strangers wondering what pro sports you might play in
6. Increased internal health-(blood, viscera, and vascular, lymphatic, and nervous functions etc,.)
7. If you're a coach- increase in your business production
8. Reduction in disease(s), inflammation etc, and increased immune system
9. Being alienated from the local Bingo clubs because you won't indulge in garbage foods
10. Enjoying a far greater quality of life- by eating simply a bit more like our ancestors and not like most people in Spokane, Washington -USA

Just One question.

I've not got much familiarity with supplements, so, what would you put there, instead of:

Meal 4: Post workout shake consisting of: Whey protein isolate, glutamine, glycine

Or is it necessary that it is supplements?

Thank you :)

well I don't know many foods that have high amounts of whey, Glycogen could be restored with fruits, I admit ignorance to what glycine is

Reading for my A.P. European history class... when diets were at their worst the bubonic plague raged through European cities killing at what is estimated 40% of the population. Also, Chronic illnesses at young ages were common, arthritis could be contributed to the lack of omega 3's, Veggies, Fruits, and high levels of acidic foods in there diet.

Oi!

I am going towards the Paleo Diet. Not rushing towards it, but quite fast.
I've been on a week in which i have gradually reduced my grains, potatoes and such in my diet.
The result is i'm eating a lot of vegetables and fish, and a bit more meat. My wife, too :)
more Eggs, too :D

It's not that hard for now, i ave had a week with almost none of those and i'm healthy quite the same :D Of course i'll have to see if i can stand until some weeks to notice any differencies in my body, i suppose. I'm curious. :D

Bye!

During my sports seasons, I let my diet drift off more and more... I'm now again just started this morning back on a much healthier diet... no grains, little carbs, and lots of protein :) wish me luck. I miss having my six pack... will also be trying to put on weight with this as I lift.
